San Diego Weekend Guide: 19.-21. April – Earth Day Edition

SAN DIEGO – Memoflix is showing a documentary film that will make you think about land conservation. And don’t miss the EarthFair in Balboa Park. On top of that, here are a few other events in San Diego:

The Timken Museum of Art is open on Friday with free admission all day. The San Diego Art Institute also has an exhibition opening on Friday titled “To Rise: Up For and Against Climate”. The exhibition features two artists exploring the aesthetics of environmental justice.

For those who enjoy live music, the band Indigo Dye will be performing at the Casbah on Saturday night. And on Sunday, the San Diego Women’s Chorus will be performing a Earth Day concert at the First United Methodist Church.

If you are looking for a more active way to celebrate Earth Day, join the Bike Kitchen’s Earth Day Community Clean Up on Sunday. Participants can help clean up the streets of San Diego while enjoying live music and food trucks.

With so many events happening in San Diego this weekend, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while also celebrating Earth Day.
